Review by MACCA:
Saw them at the Big Day Out in Melbourne and they were amazing. First time id seen them since January 98 and they were pretty good.
I didnt like the setlist much….only two non-FOTL songs was dissapointing…especially when i had heard from a number of people they played a lot of older songs.
What sucked was that New Order decided to play 30 mins over their alloted time slot which cut the Prodigy set off and they seemed to rush it all a bit.
The lighting was beyond belief….best lighting for a band ive ever seen in my life. I was a fair way back (due to the ridiculous D moshpit setup) but could still see ok.
The new songs….first time I’ve heard the three new songs and they were ok….very rocky. I dont like the punky song much (nuclear??) but Trigger and Babys Got A Temper were great.
Everyone in the crowd at Melbourne was jumping around….ive never seen everyone jump around constantly for a band before.
Its just a shame they had to finish really. Was definatly the perfect ending to the day.

oh my god, yesterday The Prodigy in Melbourne at Big Day Out was just the best show EVER! forget the stuff i wrote in the other review, at this show really it rocked from minute one until they left the stage, i’d say for this hour alone it was worth coming over to Australia. The setlist was the same as at the other shows, but Liam (back to blonde again) also played a few unexpected beats and fills here and there. And performance wise the gig was absolutely the best ever…wow! anyway, i guess a review and some pics will folllow, so check back here soon.
