Review by Carmageddon:
The gig was amazing (to me), cos I love the music, but the crew was again too bad.
For my own surprise Liam’s didn’t late as much as last time, and when the lights got switched off they started quite soon. In the usual intro I lived out the best moments that I always love as Liam comes up to the stage.
World’s On Fire was absolutely great, hear it on live is something different than listening it from any good quality recordings.
Warrior’s Dance was possibly the shamest shame of the festival, not because The Prodigy made something wrong, but the fucking crew. Maxim tells us to make the fuckin circle, just as usually, and all the fuckin people are just saying yeah and watching his face like idiot sheeps. Maxim starts repeating and even showing with his hand what to do: the fuckin circle. All people just stares out of their head and say yea and stand in one place. Then some guy (about 5-10) started to the circle and the Sziget-Crew put them on the big screen on the two sides of the stage to show the rest of the crew what to do. Warrior’s Dance still didn’t started, cos no one does the circle. And even that it was showed on the screen, still, people just stand there and don’t know what or how to do. I was almost crying up like jesus holy shit. Then Liam probably get bored of the waiting cos he started playing the song.
I was missing Comanche, wanted to hear it on live so much… I have an idea that Liam skipped it because of the WD incident.
Poison + Jaws Fill, Omen Reprise and IMD were my favourite from the gig, I loved to hear them. The bass that Poison has is unbeliavably great.
I loved as Liam came back after Voodoo People, he greeted us like a shaolin.
The new version of SMBU is still kinda strange to me, I think it’s great as the girl’s voice comes up, but the point when the music just dies and only guitar remains… well I don’t think that’s too good.
In Out Of Space, when the refrain died the crew kept singing the lyrics of course, and I was hoping that Liam will bring back the music once more as he usually did earlier, but he didn’t. We repeated the lyrics four-times, they all listening than saying Thank You.
I was again the lucky fucker to see them going away in the cars. I saw them in 2006 too, as they were leaving. I am wondering why they leave seperated? Liam in one car, Maxim and Keith in another. Why is this??? Liam doesn’t like to talk after a gig or what?
