Review by streamblenda:
22h30: The curtain raised and the impressive prodigy stage appeared leading us into the symphonic intro. I fuckin’ hoped on break and enter but Liam jammed a bit with the army snare drums from wake the fuck up and I knew what time it was…BANG GERMAN BLITZKRIEG PANZERGEWALT!! The first rows got crushed like a hammer destroying bricks, thousands of Dolph Lundgren lookalikes moved their inflated bodies on the military beats of king Howlett.
NO REST… breathe destroyed the place. Rob Holiday almost smashed his guitar in Keith’s face. My mate wear a pirate cap hiding his face while gesticulatin’ towards howlett and his gang… together with my girlfriend they made alot of interaction with the fellaz.
Prodigy on top form, Keith took the green ant flag and waved it over the STURMPOLIZEI crowd. The pression was hardly bearable.
No sleep till brooklyn mofo’s cos THEIR LAW kicked in. It rocked the whole mayday posse…
The fill before spitfire made the crowd hungry, Liam fuckin’ with the EQ from his mixin’ desk and ableton live effects…brilliant!
Spitfire was a bit too much for the crowd, hardly anyone could move anymore.
Voodoo People was one of the highlights for me, the live guitar was so fuckin’ tight and the crowd bounced like an army of duracel bunnies. Liam totally gettin into aswell, rockin’ behind his industrial wall of equipment.
Back to school seemed a bit longer than usual especially the middle break part where keith took some lyrics aswell. He kinda imitated the sounds of a baboon on acid. Again huge crowd reaction, it felt like some kind of slavic revolution.
Firestarter created the biggest moshpit, suddenly thousands of schwarzeneggers appeared around me, all with naked torso’s. Reminded me of the ‘mann gegen mann clip’ from rammstein. Again it started with the new version but they dropped the ratm chords…
The action radar link was brilliant, much harder than usual, Liam raised the tempo at the end just leavin’ some stompin’ gabbabeat makin’ the crowd go nuts once again.
This beat led us smoothly into warning, brilliant live transition from king Howlett. Warning made the germans go berserk, I actually feared for my live in that moshpit. On of the highlights for sure.
No good is the typical hands in the air feel good track. Tonite was no exception, brilliant response and brilliant beat breaks by Liam.
Maxim seemed really into it aswell, totally confident
The encore started with the magical poison makin’ the crowd jump up and down, I never saw people get such hights, Germans are built like trees. Again perfect transition leadin’ into the ‘blow ya mind fill’.
Liam went mental playing with high pass filters and break chop effects. I lost it there, felt the urge to bite in a random german’s neck.
Smack my bitch up was total war, the army of Dolf Lundgren had even multiplied leavin’ no bitches in the front crowd.
Out of space ended with a brilliant hardcore pumpin’ beat and they left the stage totally satisfied and fuckin well deserved.
Brilliant gig, tight as a tit and more hardcore than usual. They seemed to have adapted a little bit to the mayday stompin’ spirit.
I love em, Germans are horrible agressive and unfriendly people tough. My girlfriend is bruised as fuck but hey…it was fokin’ worth it!
